Without question the most damaged photo I've retouched outside of Hollywood. Original photo was so distressed, piecing it back together was only possible at the pixel level. By slowly filling in the voids of the image, what was buried underneath started to become recognizable. They were palm trees! The image was essentially re-illustrated top to bottom. Print was presented to the "model" several decades after the photo was taken, not even knowing the original existed. Both the recipient and the client were thrilled with the recreation. Retouching done in Adobe Photoshop.
