Photo on the left is original scan, which suffered from severely cracked, scratched and dirty emulsion. At some point, print was trimmed to fit a picture frame. First, the image was extended on all sides, then the cleanup began, including plenty of illustration to fill in the missing portions o the photo. Color space was converted to black and white and new prints were made. Retouching done with Adobe Photoshop.
