In 1997, I decided to create a third-party scenario called "Tempus Irae" built on Bungie's Marathon Infinity game engine. With the help of several online acquaintances, we transformed a game that originally took place in outer space, to one that visits Renaissance Italy with critical aclaim. One of the greatest pleasures making "Tempus Irae" was creating the artwork. None more fun than the chapter screens. Most of them were collaborations with James Hastings-Trew, and myself. Each image took about a week to complete, due to the fact we were trading multi-layered Photoshop files back and forth - via 28k modems. |
